My parents bought their house a few blocks from Gage Park after I’d graduated from college and moved to California. So it’s not the home I grew up in, and I actually grew up on the other side of town and very seldom came to Gage Park. But my parents have lived here for 35 years now. I have walked many miles in the park, and my kids grew up playing here with their Nana. It feels as much a part of my roots as if my own childhood were spent here.
I take a morning walk in the park every day when I am in Topeka. Today I enjoyed some gosling cuteness.
