In search of a bed to lay my head

Adventure with the mister day two. We had a restless night on our hard vinyl-wrapped cabin mattress but it was delightful to wake up under the firs with happy biker kid squeals carrying across the park. We fortified for our day with peanut butter banana pancakes. I’m not usually one to cook breakfast but it tastes so good camping.

Our respite in the cabin was only good for one night, a new renter was due to arrive. So we had a night ahead without lodging, on a sunny summer weekend. We decided to head toward the coast and try to find a cabin or something in the coast range, since accommodations at the coast were likely to be scarce. But there was nothing, it was all national forest (pretty drive though!. As we got near 101 we stopped at a local tourist sundries place and asked if they knew of anything. They pointed us toward Becker’s Cabins, and what a lucky find!

It’s a cute little family property with two fully renovated 2 br cabins. Despite our last minute call ours was fresh and clean and stocked with anything we could possibly need. We could have fed ourselves several meals from the staples in the kitchen. A fire pit had wood laid and ready, and we fixed wood fired pizza for dinner. With s’mores of course! It felt like a big win considering we started our day with no place to go!
